Recently, we learned from the Land and Resources Bureau of Taiyuan that it took nearly five months last year to find out the availability of shallow underground geothermal energy in Taiyuan. Next year, this new energy will hopefully become a "natural air conditioning" to help citizens warm in winter, refrigerate in summer and refrigerate in Taiyuan. At present, this project is in the research and development stage.

 

Shallow geothermal energy refers to the thermal energy of rock, soil, groundwater and surface water in a certain depth (less than 200 meters) below the surface, which is lower than 25 degrees Celsius. Shallow geothermal energy can meet the demand of heating (cooling) by collecting and increasing slightly. At the same time, it can realize zero pollution emission of heating (cooling) and directly improve the atmospheric quality of the use area. Shanxi refrigeration

 

The land and Resources Bureau of Taiyuan initially found that the suitable area and the more suitable area of groundwater source heat pump in Taiyuan city are 78.188 square kilometers, and the suitable area and the more suitable area of ground source heat pump with buried pipe are 531.04 square kilometers. The thermal capacity of geothermal energy is equivalent to 9.08 million tons of standard coal. Shallow geothermal energy has a heating area of 47.54 million square meters in winter and a refrigerating area of 79.23 million square meters in summer.

 

According to relevant research data, every 10 million square meters of ground source pump heat pump technology can save 560,000 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 20.555 million tons, 7.5 billion tons of flue gas, 25,000 tons of particulate matter and 13.4 million tons of sulfur dioxide.

 

Taiyuan Bureau of Land and Resources actively coordinated the China Bureau of Geological Survey of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and won 5 million yuan of state funds. The potential of shallow geothermal energy resources in Taiyuan City was surveyed. The distribution characteristics and occurrence conditions of shallow geothermal energy of 567 square axioms, 3-150 meters in major urban planning areas, the amount of shallow geothermal resources and the potential of development and utilization are basically identified, and the suitability of shallow geothermal energy development and utilization is zoned to provide basis for rational development, utilization and protection of shallow geothermal energy. Taiyuan Municipal Land Bureau will build shallow geothermal energy demonstration and monitoring project. At present, it has completed the site selection, project establishment and research of geological survey and evaluation of various sites.
